  • July 1, 2008 - Bill Crigger, President of Compass Career Management Solutions/OI Partners, has been elected President of the Crown Point Business Park Association. This business park is located off North Sardis Road between Independence Blvd. and Monroe Road (at the railroad bridge). This is an active and diverse group of businesses within Charlotte. The Association manages and works hard to keep the entire business park safe. Its membership includes the business and property owners in that area.   • May 29, 2008 - Bill Crigger, President of Compass Career Management Solutions/OI Partners, was a judge for the York County Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and York County Chamber 2008 Human Resources Professional of the Year.  Bill Crigger has been a Vice President of Human Resources for the Kroger Co. and Eagle Foods.  In addition Bill has been President of the Charlotte Society of Human Resource Management, as well as President/Owner of his human resource consultant firm (Compass Career Management Solutions).  This celebration was held at the City Club of Rock Hill on Thursday, May 29, 2008.  This event allowed attention to be brought to exceptional human resource professionals in the area.  For more information, call Bill Crigger at (704) 849-2500.   • November - Bill Crigger, President of Compass Career Management Solutions, recently represented OI Partners at a national meeting of Association of Career Management Firms (ACF) in Washington, D.C.   As changes continue to develop in business, this organization strives to recognize ways for their members to assist the business communities across the United States.  This includes addressing catastrophic events like hurricane devastation (i.e. when Katrina hit the Gulf states last fall).  When businesses are totally destroyed, ACF members are trying to develop a plan to help such communities.  Other challenges are base closures and other distruptive events on the business communities.  ACF addresses other concerns as well.  For further information, contact Bill Crigger at (704) 849-2500.

  • Robyn Crigger, CEO of Compass Career Management Solutions, was interviewed on an internet radio talk show (www.globaltalkradio.com) on Monday, August 21 from 2-3:00 p.m.  This specific program deals with professional women and their passion.  In this interview current trends of Outplacement and Career Transitions played the major focus, though other areas included how to select qualified employees, credible resources that employers have for seeking appropriate candidates, as well as the employee's option of self-employment and how resources like NAWBO might be beneficial to women business owners.

  • May 30, 2006 - Robyn Crigger, CEO of Compass Career Management Solutions, is attending the national NAWBO conference in San Francisco, CA this week representing the NAWBO Charlotte Chapter.  Robyn is currently President-Elect of the Charlotte Chapter.  NAWBO is the largest organization for women business owners.  NAWBO is preparing to make some strategic changes in their organization in order to be more productive and effective in their leadership.
  • May 16, 2006 - OI Partners, Inc., the world's largest career management partnership, has added a new partner, Harold Kwan, whose company, HRM3, is located in Singapore.  Mr. Kwan attended the spring OI Partner meeting in Washington, D.C.  Compass Career Management Solutions, owned by Robyn and Bill Crigger, is the OI Partner in North Carolina and Virginia.  OI Partners, Inc. has 208 locations worldwide.

  • April 12, 2006 - Bill Crigger, President of Compass Career Management Solutions, has been selected by OI Partners, Inc. (the world's largest international career management partnership) to represent them at the Association of Career Firms International - Department of Labor Emergency Response Task Force.  The purpose of the task force is to design a plan, where, in a coordinated effort, "ACF" firm members can assist local workforce boards in employment response assistance as the result of local or national disasters.

Bush's recent visit to Charlotte regarding his "W" stands for women program.  President Bush's campaign group was selecting four women business owners, for which Robyn was considered, to discuss different concerns of women business owners.  Charlotte was the first city to experience this Town Hall experience where President Bush had done this women's focus.

  • June, 2004 - Compass Career Management Solutions, in partnership with the Charlotte Chamber’s Manufacturing Business Alliance is conducting a performance excellence seminar  - THE HERO’S JOURNEY – LEADERSHIP AND TEAM BUILDING on June 30, at the Southwest campus of CPCC.  This 4-hour interactive preview of Leadership and Team Building will help participants learn and understand how to become an effective business leader and what are the building blocks to a “class act team”.

  • Compass Career Management Solutions, a local, independent, woman-owned Outplacement and Transition Coaching Consulting Firm is the sponsor for the August 11th CASHRM (Charlotte Area Society Human Resource Management) CEO Caucus breakfast meeting to be held at The Marriott on Tyvola Road.
  • The CEO Caucus is a panel discussion of three CEOs from local companies. The session will be facilitated by Peter Browning, the Dean of the McColl Graduate School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte.
  • August, 2003 - Robyn and Bill Crigger, owners of Compass Career Management Solutions, an international, woman-owned outplacement firm, is hosting an outplacement business owner from Kazakhstan via the International House in Charlotte.  The week of August 4th Robyn and Bill will share insight of their outplacement firm with Kazybek Shaikh, 31, who has come to the United States to learn how we in America manage and assist with outplacement.
  • July, 2003 - Compass Career Management Solutions/Oi Partners (formerly The Transition Team of Richmond, VA), announces that it is now an independent outplacement and human resource consulting firm.  Compass Career Management Solutions can provide outplacement, coaching and leadership services through its OI Partner offices in 86 locations in the United States and 208 locations worldwide.
  • Robyn Crigger, CEO of Compass Career Management Solutions, is representing the Charlotte Chapter of NAWBO at the annual National Conference for NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners).  Robyn is the new Vice President of Economic/Corporate Development, a two-year commitment.  The conference this year is being held in Nashville, TN from June 12-14.
  • June, 2003 - Robyn and Bill Crigger along with Michael Hall of Compass Career Management Solutions were selected to represent Oi Partners Inc., the world’s largest career consulting partnership at the national SHRM Conference in Orlando, Florida.
  • May, 2003 - Mary MacRae, National President of NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) and owner of “The Bone Group, “ (a Grammy Award winning country music song writer’s company), was a guest speaker at the May 6th meeting.
  • While in town, Robyn Crigger, CEO of Compass Career Management Solutions and VP of NAWBO escorted Mary to visit some of the Charlotte Chapter business members and NAWBO corporate partners.
  • April, 2003 - Robyn Crigger, CEO of Compass Career Management Solutions was recently elected by NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) to be Vice President of Corporate Economic Development.  This position, which helps businesses build strong relationships with NAWBO as Corporate Partners, becomes active in June 2003.  There are 42,000 women-owned businesses in our region. Currently, Robyn holds the position of Vice President of Programs for NAWBO, which places her on the Charlotte Chapter’s Board.
  • April, 2003 – Randy Kurr of Compass Career Management Solutions has been appointed to   the Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department Northeast Park District Advisory Council.

  • From March 7-9, 2003 Robyn Crigger, CEO of Compass Career Management Solutions, participated as a panelist in a weekend retreat for professional women at the Grove Park Inn. The Metrolina Business and Professional Women’s group sponsored this event, which was titled “Weekend Attitude and Adjustment Retreat”. This event was not restricted to only MBPW members.
  • March, 2003 -Bill and Robyn Crigger attended an Oi Partnership meeting (international outplacement) in New Orleans February 14-15. Oi includes a very select group of credible, independent outplacement firms with 86 offices in the United States and 208 offices worldwide and growing.
  • March, 2003 - Robyn Crigger, CEO of Compass Career Management Solutions, was one of the panelists, who shared valuable information to the attendees of The Charlotte Chambers MBA program. She helped guide them through the critical decisions in how to grow one’s business, including whether to use a professional marketing firm, where to advertise, lessons learned, etc.
  • From February 7-11, 2003 Robyn Crigger, CEO of Compass Career Management Solutions (an international outplacement/human resource consulting firm) attended the Public Policy Days Conference in Washington, D.C. to become informed of our Federal Government’s activities affecting Small Business Owners.  Mrs. Crigger along with NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) representatives (over 200) from across the United States were offered informative workshops, the opportunity to hear from several U.S. congressmen/women, a White House Briefing, as well as appointments with each of our states’ representatives and senators.
